CBG brings in new travel policy partner

INSURANCE broker CBG Group is to spread its wings in the travel insurance market after signing a new deal with FirstAssist Insurance Services.

Under the agreement, FirstAssist will act as sole underwriter for CBG’s travel insurance policy ‘Cover All.’ The policy, which was launched in September 2006, offers worldwide annual travel insurance for a family of two adults and up to five children. It now has around 6,000 clients.

The policy had previously been underwritten by Union Reiseversicherung AG. CBG said it would continue to work with the firm in other areas.

“Over the last few years, the travel insurance industry has become increasingly competitive with significant pressure being placed on rates,” said Neville Hortas, a director of CBG’s insurance broking division.

“This new partnership will ensure that customers continue to get a great deal on their travel insurance, while still getting comprehensive cover for the entire family.”
