MPA hosts debate on world class creativity

The MPA, the new name for the Manchester Publicity Association, has re-launched ‘The Loop’ series of events to open up the debate about what constitutes world class creativity.

This opening event on Thursday November 25 is free to attend. A chaired discussion will feature panellists who will give their thoughts on how to achieve world class quality within the industry.

Guest speakers include Andy Baker, from Altrincham based MOFILM, and Peter Saunders from Manchester’s Mackinnon and Saunders.

MOFILM has pioneered ‘made-for-mobile’ content, working with leading filmmakers such as Kevin Spacey, Robert Redford, Isabella Rossellini and Spike Lee for global brands such as Visa, Vodafone, McDonalds, Nokia and Pepsi.

Mackinnon and Saunders provides services including 3D animation, TV production and digital imaging and has over 60 different television programmes, 70 commercials and various feature length movies to their credit with clients including Warner Bros, HIT Entertainment and Nickelodeon.

Cindy Simmons, managing director of the MPA, said: “The next 12 months are crucial to our creative community of Greater Manchester and we want to ensure that all agencies no matter what discipline have the opportunities and tools to showcase their talent to make the most of the arrival of MediaCityUK.”

Thursday November 25, 6-9pm at the Annex, the Cornerhouse, Manchester.
