Appointments: Cowburn in at Deloitte; Addleshaws’ new partners

DELOITTE has appointed John Cowburn to the reorganisation services team as a director.

Mr Cowburn has worked with both the reorganisation services and corporate finance advisory teams at Deloitte from 1988 to 2002.

The reorganisation services team specialises in working with management and stakeholders of underperforming businesses, drawing on its expertise to maximise recoveries and protect investments.

Bill Dawson, partner in reorganisation services at Deloitte, said: “John Cowburn’s addition to the team allows us to offer clients the benefit of the significant ‘on-the-job’ expertise he has gained from a number of recent interim turnaround positions.”

ACCOUNTANCY firm and adviser to entrepreneurs Tenon has appointed Kim Lightfoot as executive consultant to its financial services division in Rochdale.

Ms Lightfoot has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry and will advise Tenon medical services in the North West, Yorkshire and Leicestershire.

Chris Bardin, North West head of financial services at Tenon, said: “The medical sector is an attractive growth area for Tenon, and we’re delighted to have Kim on board to help drive our plans forward.

Kim’s knowledge of the NHS, and particularly the NHS pension schemes, will help us further enhance our market position in the North West.”

LAW firm Addleshaw Goddard has promoted senior associates Jamie Hamnett in employment and Caroline Hilton in infrastructure, projects and energy to the firm’s partnership.

The promotions will take effect from May 1.
