Gap’s £500k funding deal

AN industrial recruitment firm has signed a six-figure funding deal to boost its working capital.

Gap Personnel has secured the £500,000 package from the Manchester office of Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets.

Wrexham-based Gap Personnel was set up by managing director, Gary Dewhurst, in 1997.  It has since grown into £50m company, with 40 offices across the UK employing 200 staff.

Mr Dewhurst said: “It’s been a real pleasure working with the team at Lloyds TSB Corporate Market and is a breath of fresh air to talk to knowledgeable people who are based in our region and are empowered to make their own decisions.”

James Barron, relationship manager at Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets, said: “We’re delighted to have been chosen by Gap Personnel, a business that is going from strength to strength.  We hope to help Gary turn Gap Personnel’s vision into reality.”
