Joanna Swash

Joanna was recruited as Moneypenny’s first sales person 13 years ago, and now oversees it’s progression as Managing Director.

Having dealt personally with thousands of businesses who have moved to using telephone answering, outsourced switchboard and live chat support, Joanna is ardent that businesses should ‘stick to their knitting’ – that is to do what they’re really good at and get experts in to help with the rest.

Joanna is passionate about ensuring Moneypenny maintains and develops its unique culture, one which has helped the company grow 20% year-on-year, and twice become a top 5 Best Company to Work For. She believes that the secret to business success is the satisfaction and wellbeing of employees.

“Culture is the most important thing to me. The key is to hire great people with the right attitude, and make them even better by providing the right environment. The more you give as an employer the more you get back in longevity and loyalty.

“If people feel they can form relationships in an environment they want to be in, if they can achieve wonderful things, that is even better than the brilliant attitude you recruited.”
