The winners will now be chosen by votes from a much larger group, on a one vote per firm basis.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-2020714\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/_files\/images\/may_18\/michael-page-300x61.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"61\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/_files\/images\/may_18\/michael-page-300x61.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/_files\/images\/may_18\/michael-page-200x41.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/_files\/images\/may_18\/michael-page-500x102.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/_files\/images\/may_18\/michael-page-600x123.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/_files\/images\/may_18\/michael-page.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>The awards are supported by Michael Page and take place on Thursday, June 20 at Hilton Manchester Deansgate.<\/p>\n<p>It is the fifth year of the Rainmaker Awards, which celebrates the deals, teams and individuals that have had the biggest impact in the last 12 months.<\/p>\n<p>There are two new awards in 2019 &#8211; private company deal of the year, which the judges added after they recognised there was a gap, and changemaker of the year, which showcases the individuals who are leading on improving diversity and inclusion within the deals community.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-2004098\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/_files\/images\/may_17\/rainmaker-awards-room-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/_files\/images\/may_17\/rainmaker-awards-room-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/_files\/images\/may_17\/rainmaker-awards-room-200x133.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/_files\/images\/may_17\/rainmaker-awards-room.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Alex Turner, joint managing director of TheBusinessDesk.com, said: &#8220;It was a really good judging session, with lots of debate and some disagreements, that has resulted in a shortlist that captures the breadth as well as strength of the North West&#8217;s corporate finance sector.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are now looking forward to celebrating the community when we reveal the winners at the awards dinner on June 20.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The judges considered deals that happened between April 1, 2018 and March 31, 2019.
