Japanese-inspired lifestyle brand Kenji has unveiled its new retail concept at 45 South John Street within Liverpool ONE.<\/p>\n
It is the first of three new concept stores to be launched by the Manchester-based retailer across the North West.<\/p>\n
Kenji has taken 1,500 sq ft which also includes a “makers section” for local creatives and small businesses to market their products on a rotating two-week schedule.<\/p>\n
Derek Yong, head of operations at Kenji, said: \u201cThe aim to disrupt the way retail is traditionally experienced is by curating an immersive retail space of Japanese inspired designer homeware, toys and stationery, allowing customers to explore not just the products but the story behind them, also, bringing back the excitement to shopping.\u201d<\/p>\n
The launch of Kenji follows the arrival of Hamleys, while luxury jewellery retailer David M Robinson has extended its lease for five years.<\/p>\n

Property investor Ace Liberty and Stone has bought a Carlisle property for \u00a31.71m.<\/p>\n
It is currently home to Clydesdale Bank, which has 16 years remaining on its lease.<\/p>\n
The site, 78-82 English Street and 49-53 Blackfriars Street, generates annual rental income of \u00a3131,000.<\/p>\n
Ace Liberty and Stone has also acquired a building in Scarborough for \u00a31.43m.<\/p>\n
Chief executive Ismail Ghandour said: “These two acquisitions further enhance our already solid portfolio with long term income from two highly-regarded financial institutions. This is very welcome in the current uncertain economic climate.”<\/p>\n

Six businesses have moved in to The Sharp Project in Newton Heath in the last two months.<\/p>\n
The six businesses come from across the North\u2019s creative and digital sectors to the 200,000 sq ft facility.<\/p>\n
The Sharp Project’s business development manager Dunstan Carter said: “With the country facing so many challenges currently it is incredibly encouraging and exciting to welcome these six businesses to The Sharp Project as our latest tenants.”<\/p>\n
The businesses are proptech company SHOWM, creative communications agency Marick Live, insurance company Risk Box, aviation audio firm Nuntiare Media, TV and film locations supplier Shoot Support, and freelance music producer Lee Monteverde.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
