{"id":2067187,"date":"2020-10-01T06:52:53","date_gmt":"2020-10-01T05:52:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/northwest\/?p=2067187"},"modified":"2020-10-01T06:52:53","modified_gmt":"2020-10-01T05:52:53","slug":"bolton-businesses-can-access-small-grants-to-ease-covid-19-hit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/northwest\/news\/2067187-bolton-businesses-can-access-small-grants-to-ease-covid-19-hit","title":{"rendered":"Bolton businesses can access small grants to ease Covid-19 hit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new Covid-19 Local Restriction Support Grant is available from today for Bolton businesses.<\/p>\n<p>The grant can provide \u00a31,000 or \u00a31,500 every three weeks while Bolton\u2019s restrictions remain in place.<\/p>\n<p>It is targeted at those businesses hardest hit by the local Covid-19 restrictions such as cafes, bars and restaurants.<\/p>\n<p>The eligibility criteria is limited to just those business rate paying businesses providing in-person services from their business premises, and that have been forced to close for at least three weeks continuously due to local restrictions.<\/p>\n<p>The applications will be administered by Bolton Council\u2019s Business Rates Team.<\/p>\n<p>Cllr David Greenhalgh, leader of Bolton Council, said: \u201cThis is an incredibly challenging time for those businesses who have been put into lockdown and have their livelihoods put under threat.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis new Local Restriction Support Grant is welcome and we will get this out to businesses as soon as we can. We\u2019ve got teams ready to administer and get the grants out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I will continue to press Government at the highest level for additional financial support for the sector as a major
