Pre-tax profits jumped from \u00a39.1m to \u00a313.67m.<\/p>\n<p>The Lawyer Top 100 firm is edging ever closer to its target of \u00a360m turnover within the next five years.<\/p>\n<p>Open caseloads have grown to around 25,000 and medical reporting agency Ontime, part of the Express Group, is also up to \u00a37.6m turnover from \u00a36.4m the previous year.<\/p>\n<p>The turnover news coincides with Express jumping up 13 places in the Lawyer Top 200 UK Law Firms to now being placed at 80, and also being recognised again in the Legal 200 for both its personal injury and clinical negligence work.<\/p>\n<p>CEO, James Maxey,\u00a0said: \u201cWe\u2019ve had another great year, every part of the business has had its numbers increase this year.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If we continue this way, we could be hitting our target \u00a360m earlier than expected, which would be amazing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe acquisition of Michael W Halsall Solicitors in October last year has been a big factor in our success and another big development is the purchase and refurbishment of premises in Sharston, South Manchester, which will allow us to keep expanding.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s also exciting that we have more growth locked in with the recent acquisitions of Amelans and Jefferies Solicitors, which will show up on next year\u2019s figures. The opportunities before us are looking very good indeed.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cWe are continuing to look at progressing the business, developing our people and recruiting the best talent so
