Bolton-based Duckhams Oils has secured listings in almost 500 Tesco stores nationwide as the lubricant brand continues its retail expansion.

A range of Duckhams QS high performance engine oils suitable for petrol and diesel engines in passenger vehicles and light duty commercial vehicles is now available.

David McLean, chief marketing officer at Duckhams, said: “Our Tesco offering is an exciting next stage in the Duckhams growth story. Duckhams has a strong motor racing heritage and a fond place in the hearts of families who have used it for generations. The brand colours are extremely well recognised, and it has excellent stand-out on shelf. Breadth of offer, allied with a heritage that drivers trust, is the core strength for Duckhams, which has been the original British motor oil since 1899.”

The company says its products are outselling competitors at EG On The Move forecourts, where they are driving overall category volume and value and increasing average basket spend.

Backed by new investor Zuber Issa, the brand has increased its UK retail and trade footprint through partnerships including Screwfix, eBay, Amazon and motor factor group Rapid.

Duckhams high-performance engine oils are now available across Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia.
