{"id":2177995,"date":"2026-08-25T14:23:58","date_gmt":"2026-08-25T13:23:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/northwest\/?p=2177995"},"modified":"2026-08-25T14:23:58","modified_gmt":"2026-08-25T13:23:58","slug":"liverpool%e2%80%99s-taskers-returns-to-formby-after-eight-years-with-new-store","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/northwest\/news\/2177995-liverpool%e2%80%99s-taskers-returns-to-formby-after-eight-years-with-new-store","title":{"rendered":"Liverpool\u2019s Taskers returns to Formby after eight years with new store"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Home and garden retailer Taskers is set to return to Formby, north Liverpool, after eight years this week with the opening of a new 8,000 sq ft home store.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Opening its doors on Thursday (August 27), the new Taskers store on Altcar Road will offer a carefully selected range of the retailer\u2019s best-selling furniture, lighting, pictures and mirrors, rugs and home accessories.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The launch will see Taskers take over the former Formby Cycles premises, retaining three existing members of staff from the local business while also creating four jobs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Director, Oliver Tasker, said: \u201cReturning to Formby is something we\u2019re incredibly excited about. The new store will give us the opportunity to bring Taskers closer to customers in the area, and we\u2019re looking forward to opening the doors and welcoming everyone in.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The opening represents the latest stage in Taskers\u2019 continued growth, with the family-run business, which has been serving customers in Liverpool since 1958, continuing to invest in new ways to bring its products and in-store experience closer to communities across the city region.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Taskers closed its original Formby store on Church Road on January 31, 2018, following a major company restructure to tackle tough trading conditions and focus on larger stores and online
