Property investment agency, Elite Realty Invest, has appointed Jennifer Lawler as its first director of operations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jennifer will take on the newly created role after more than three and a half years at the firm, following a period of significant expansion for the company, which has offices in Liverpool, Manchester and Turkey.<\/span><\/p>\n

Formerly working in both associate director and sales director roles, Jennifer started her new position in August. She is based in the firm\u2019s Liverpool office.<\/span><\/p>\n

The appointment formalises Jennifer\u2019s expanding remit across the business and recognises the requirement for dedicated operational leadership as Elite looks to scale up its national operations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before joining Elite, Jennifer built a distinguished career in property investment and commercial management, and was previously global partnership manager for renowned developer Salboy. As part of this role, she managed its network of agents and strategic partners, building strong commercial relationships, as well as the roll-out of major new developments.<\/span><\/p>\n

CEO Darren Gallagher, said: \u201cHaving the right leadership at board level has become essential to ensure we maintain the highest standards, while building a team that can help us achieve our ambitious growth targets.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr Mei-Lun Wang<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

Redx Pharma, an Alderley Park-based clinical-stage biotechnology company has appointed Mei-Lun Wang as chief medical officer (CMO) on a permanent basis, further strengthening the company’s clinical leadership and gastroenterology expertise.<\/span><\/p>\n

This complements the appointment of Bernard Coulie, also a gastroenterologist, to the board of directors of the company, as announced on August 27, 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr Wang said: “I am thrilled to join Redx at such an exciting time in the company’s journey.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr Wang is a US-based paediatric gastroenterologist with 25 years\u2019 experience who completed her fellowship training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where she was an assistant professor of paediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sarah Miles<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

Manchester-based soap manufacturing group, PZ Cussons,<\/span> has announced that Peju Adebajo and Sarah Miles will join the board as non-executive directors, bringing significant international, consumer goods and digital expertise.<\/span><\/p>\n

The appointments will take effect from the conclusion of PZ Cussons’ annual general meeting on October 1, 2026, following the departure of Valeria Juarez and Jitesh Sodha from the board on the same day.<\/span><\/p>\n

Peju is the managing director of Etex Nigeria, a Nigerian building materials business. She has wide experience across a number of industrial sectors in Africa and the UK including building materials, agriculture, renewables, bedding, food, consulting and banking.<\/span><\/p>\n

She has also been a non-executive director of Ibstock, listed on the London Stock Exchange, from 2021 to 2026, and has held CEO roles in a number of companies including Lumos Nigeria, Lafarge Africa and Mouka.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sarah Miles is CEO of Hush UK, the fashion and lifestyle brand. She brings extensive experience, developed across a career spanning consulting, consumer goods and online retail. Sarah spent 12 years at Diageo in a range of leadership roles covering brand, strategy and innovation, before joining Amazon, where she spent five years and was latterly apparel director for fashion in Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n

She was also a non-executive director at James Cropper, the AIM-listed Cumbrian advanced materials and paper & packaging company, between 2021 and 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

David Tyler, chair of PZ Cussons, said: “Peju brings deep knowledge of Nigeria alongside extensive international executive and listed company experience. Sarah brings significant consumer, brand and digital expertise from senior roles at Diageo, Amazon, Feelunique and Hush UK. I look forward very much to working with them both.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fiona Clutterbuck<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

Manchester-based investment platform, AJ Bell, has appointed Craig Gentle as a non-executive director and Steve Langan as a non-independent non-executive director, with effect from February 2, 2027.<\/span><\/p>\n

The company also announces that Eamonn Flanagan and Les Platts will not be seeking re-election at the next AGM and Margaret Hassall will step down from the board with effect from September 30, 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n

Craig Gentle is a Chartered Accountant with more than 30 years’ experience in retail financial services. He spent more than 20 years at PwC, where he became a senior audit partner. Craig subsequently served as group chief financial officer of St James’s Place for more than seven years until his retirement in late 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n

He will assume the role of chair of the audit committee, subject to regulatory approval and will succeed Eamonn Flanagan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Steve Langan brings extensive executive and board experience gained across the insurance and consumer goods sectors. He currently serves as a non-executive director of Sampo and previously held several senior leadership positions at Hiscox, including CEO of Hiscox UK & Europe and CEO of Hiscox USA.<\/span><\/p>\n

He will assume the role of non-independent non-executive director, nominated by Andy Bell and succeeding Les Platts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

AJ Bell chair, Fiona Clutterbuck, said: “The changes we are announcing today mark the conclusion of recent board succession planning activity.<\/span><\/p>\n

Automotive Insight Group, the Manchester-based data and technology company, has announced that former AutoTrader group sales director, Darren Moon, and former Factor Sales director, Ian Penny, have joined the expanding team.<\/span><\/p>\n

Moon, a seasoned industry leader who spent more than 18 years at AutoTrader as group sales director, joins the business as strategic partnership director.<\/span><\/p>\n

Penny joins as strategic product advisor, working with the team to support the evolution and innovation of the Factor Sales product.<\/span><\/p>\n

New PM+M trainees<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

PM+M,<\/span> the Blackburn and Bury-based Chartered Accountancy, business advisory and financial planning group, has welcomed a new cohort of trainees.<\/span>

In the accounting and advisory team, Abdur-Rahman Chati and Aidan Stokes have joined the firm. The audit, accounting and advisory team has welcomed four new trainees – Halima Wadee, Khadija Waghat, Oliver Winnard and Quinn Berry.<\/span>

Callum Calway has joined PM+M\u2019s financial planning team. Muhammad Isap has joined the tax team, while Mohammad Sheikh has joined the payroll team. Alongside their day-to-day roles, both will follow structured professional study programmes tailored to their respective specialisms.<\/span>

Real estate consultancy BTG Eddisons has strengthened its North West operation with the appointment of prominent Liverpool property adviser Ian Steele as a director in its property agency team.<\/span><\/p>\n

Steele has spent the past seven years as a principal at Avison Young\u2019s Liverpool office, having previously been a senior director at GVA.<\/span><\/p>\n

He will work alongside BTG Eddisons\u2019 property agency directors Robert Diggle and David Baker, primarily focusing on office agency and development.<\/span><\/p>\n

Well known in the North West property market, Steele has built an extensive network of contacts during his career, particularly in the offices sector.<\/span><\/p>\n

Luke Tillison, head of transactional at BTG Eddisons, said: \u201cWe are really thrilled that Ian is joining our Liverpool agency team, working alongside Rob and David. He is very well established and highly connected in the Liverpool market and brings a strong profile and network with him.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
