A CHESHIRE concrete blocks manufacturer has sold its building supplies operation to an ambitious building merchants firm.<\/p>\n
Cheshire Concrete Products of Middlewich, a \u00a310m turnover business which was part of construction group Pochin until a demerged in 2006, has sold its Cornerstones Building and Landscape Products, which trades from an 1.5 acre site in St Helens, to North Wales company Huws Gray.<\/p>\n
Financial terms of the deal, which will allow Cheshire Concrete to focus on its core business, were not disclosed. The company, which also has a production site in Llay, North Wales, supplies merchants including Jewson and Travis Perkins.<\/p>\n
Shaun Gray, managing airector at Cheshire Concrete said: “By focusing on our core business, while at the same time building long lasting business relationships with our customers and merchants, we can deliver a more efficient and high quality service in Wales and the North West. “<\/p>\n
Huws Gray has its headquarters on Anglesey and has more than 15 sites in Cheshire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester.<\/p>\n
South Manchester law firm Myerson advised Cheshire Concrete on the deal. Its corporate team was led by partners Akeel Latif and Scott Sands.<\/p>\n
