Supporting North West Businesses During the Pandemic

The past year has been anything but easy. But, buoyed by the government’s ‘roadmap’ strategy, many entrepreneurs are now doubling down with renewed optimism and forging ahead.

For North West businesses in particular, there is plenty of regional support available along with a number of large investment strategies to help drive the local economy forwards.

Among them, the LCR Freeport proposal adds another feather to the North West’s infrastructure cap. This, says Warrington South Tory MP Andy Carter, will enable regional businesses to take “full advantage of global Britain” and benefit from industrial revitalisation.

Add to that, a further £100m in government spending has been allocated for the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund (NPIF), which provides investment to high-growth Northern SMEs.

Closer to home, Warrington Chamber of Commerce offers numerous growth and support initiatives for local businesses, particularly those who need extra support during the pandemic.
