Ceres Holographics acquired by Zeiss
German optical systems manufacturer Zeiss has acquired Ceres Holographics, a holographic technology company headquartered in Livingston.
It will now becomes part of Zeiss Microoptics, a business unit with a focus on industrialising holography for high volume automotive, aerospace and consumer markets.
The added capability and resources will enable Zeiss to expedite market entry into broader holographic markets, like retail, near-to-eye displays and public transportation.
