Analysis: Can Burnham’s Your First Home deliver what Help to Buy couldn’t?

As someone who technically falls into the group it's aimed at, my first reaction to Prime Minister Andy Burnham's "Your First Home" scheme was a shrug.

Burnham's own diagnosis explains why. Announcing the scheme in his first Labour conference speech as Prime Minister on 29 September, he said it would "open up home ownership to those not backed by the bank of mum and dad."
