Scottish corporate insolvency rate rises 14% in September
There were 117 company insolvencies registered in Scotland last month, 14% higher than the number in September 2025.
The total was comprised of 68 company voluntary liquidations, 38 compulsory liquidations, 10 administrations and one company voluntary arrangement.
The total insolvency rate during the year to September 2026 was 49 per 10,000 companies on the effective register - down by 3.1 from the preceding 12 months.
