Nadara has completed an acquisition of the 48MW Bettyhill Phase 2 Wind Farm, from international developer Eden Renewables.<\/p>\n
Located in Sutherland, the array will comprise up to 10 turbines. Construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2027, with commencement of operation expected in the fourth quarter of 2028.<\/p>\n
The transaction is part of Nadara’s growth ambitions in the UK, through both development and selective additions of assets that complement its existing portfolio, including taking consented projects through to financing, construction and operation.<\/p>\n
Eden has already put in place a community benefits package, which Nadara has committed to honouring. This includes the opportunity for locals to own up to 20% of Bettyhill Phase 2, with a local electricity discount scheme and an education programme.<\/p>\n
The wind farm was unanimously consented by The Highland Council in February 2024.<\/p>\n

Nadara has more than 4.3GW of installed onshore wind, solar, biomass and energy storage across 200 assets – and a development pipeline of 18GW that also includes offshore wind.<\/p>\n
