German manufacturer to create new UK headquarters

A German medical equipment manufacturer is to move its UK headquarters to a purpose-built facility in Devon after securing planning permission.

Bowa Medical UK will relocate to a a 3-acre site at Oak Tree Business Park in Kingskerswell.

The new development will include a manufacturing plant with a cleanroom, along with assembly and machining facilities to increase its production capacity.

It will also relocate its Surgical Skills Lab Centre to Oak Tree to continue delivering courses for health professionals.

Chris Graham, engineering and operations director at Bowa Medical UK, said: “We are thrilled to have secured planning permission for the new facility which will serve as a state-of-the-art hub for our UK operations and provide a dynamic work environment for our employees.

“We look forward to seeing our vision come to life and are grateful for the support of our stakeholders including Teignbridge Council, Roach Planning, Pinnacle Architectural Design & Project Management Ltd & Burrington Estates as we move forward with this important milestone.”

Construction is expected to begin soon and be completed by September 2024.
