Appointments: LDC; EY; Unite Students

LDC's Sally Tam, Dewi Hughes, and Vera Kuehne

Private equity investor LDC has appointed Vera Kuehne as an Investment Manager and Sally Tam as an Investment Executive to increase its support of businesses in the South West and Wales.

The firm’s now six-strong team of investors has also moved to a new office in Queen Square, Bristol.

Kuehne brings six years’ experience in private equity and investment banking, most recently at CPP Investments.

Tam joins LDC from PwC in Bristol, where she was an M&A Manager and played a key role advising on transactions in the UK and overseas.

Jemma Inker, EY

EY has strengthened its South West audit team with the promotion of Jemma Inker to Partner.

She originally joined EY in 2011 as an Audit Senior and has over 15 years’ experience. During her time at EY, Inker has built extensive knowledge of both the South West, working with listed and private businesses across a range of sectors including utilities, consumer, manufacturing and transport.

In addition to her role in the audit team, Jemma is also responsible for the firm’s talent strategy in the region and is a mentor and coach to a number of employees.

Karen Kirkwood, EY’s managing partner for the South West, said: “Jemma brings a wealth of experience to the Partnership, having worked with a broad cross section of companies across the region, from a range of different industries.”

Bristol-based Unite Students, a provider of student accommodation around the UK has welcomed Amy Round as group people director.

Round brings experience from her previous positions, drawing insights gained from her roles at Google, OVO Energy, and most recently, as Chief People Officer at Vertical Aerospace.

She said: “I’m excited to be joining such a purpose-driven organisation, which is making a difference in the lives of so many students.
