Recruitment agency latest to win B Corp status

A Bristol recruitment consultant is the latest South West business to gain B Corp certification.

Henry Nicholas is a sustainable business with a focus on creating a positive impact on the environment and within local communities.

The specialist recruitment company has been awarded its certification by B Lab, the not-for-profit behind the B Corp movement, having met all the social and environmental standards.

The B Corp certification is an internationally recognised measure with a rigorous certification process.

Applicants are required to reach a benchmark score of over 80 while providing evidence of socially and environmentally responsible practices relating to energy supplies, waste and water use, worker compensation, diversity and corporate transparency.

Henry Nicholas managing director and founder John Austin said: “Being awarded the B Corp certification is important to Henry Nicholas as it demonstrates to our employees, customers and community that we are a business for good.

Henry Nicholas has joined the  global community of 6,600 businesses which are certified as B Corps.

The UK B Corp community represents a broad cross section of industries including 91 other recruitment companies and well-known brands such as The Guardian, Patagonia and The Body Shop.
