Property firm unveils new role as part of expansion plans

Mike Ware

Acorn Property Group has appointed Mike Ware as the head of land for the Bristol and Exeter regions.

This newly established position is aimed at enhancing the company’s attention to new opportunities in Exeter and its surroundings.

Ware will maintain his responsibilities in the Bristol region while also concentrating on identifying growth opportunities in the Exeter region.

He said: “Having started my career at Acorn as a graduate, I am excited to continue progressing through the company and start working across the Exeter region. We have had a busy six months in both regions, securing several sites during a difficult period and there is a strong drive to continue pursuing new opportunities,” said Mike.

“In Exeter, we will be looking for more brownfield regeneration sites on the back of our award-winning scheme on Topsham Road, as well as focus on short- and medium-term greenfield opportunities across the South Hams, Teignbridge and around Devon, in particular the east of the county. Our Bristol team also wants to develop more brownfield sites around the city, as well as expand our presence promoting and building housing schemes across North Somerset, Wiltshire, B&NES, South Somerset and the surrounding areas.

“Our opportunity-led approach means we’re open to considering a broad range of sites and deal structures, which makes my role especially interesting as every site is different and we always take a fresh approach looking at every opportunity on its merits.”
