Law firm strengthens commercial property team

Law firm Mogers Drewett, which has offices Bath, Sherborne, Wells and Frome, has strengthened its commercial property team with the appointment of experienced lawyer Helen Gate.

Helen joins the firm from Clarke Willmott where she was a senior associate in the commercial property team, advising landowners on telecom agreements and disputes.

Helen previously worked for the Government Legal Department as a commercial property lawyer working in-house for the Ministry of Defence in Bristol, advising on landlord and tenant matters, general estate management issues across the MoD portfolio and commercial procurement property support.

Before this, she was a legal adviser at telecoms company Orange, negotiating leases for the infrastructure roll-out of what are now, EE masts.

In her new role Helen will advise clients on a range of issues predominantly including landlord and tenant matters with a view to expanding her caseload to acquisitions, disposals and pension transactions.

Partner Justin Hopkins, who is head of Mogers Drewett’s commercial property team, said: “We’re really excited to welcome Helen to our growing team.

“She has tremendous property experience in both the public and private sectors and unrivalled knowledge of the telecoms sector. I’m sure her expertise will be in great demand among our many commercial clients.”
