Accountancy firm on the move following expansion

An accountancy firm is moving into new offices following a period of significant growth.

Azets in Plymouth has expanded to a new office at Salt Quay House.

The move comes as the Plymouth office aims to double the teams’ headcount within the next three years.

The UK Top 10 accountancy firm opened its doors in Plymouth in July 2022, with just two partners.

Since then, the team has grown to 30 advisors who support clients on a range of accounting, audit, tax, advisory, payroll and transaction services. The new space will allow the team to double its current headcount to over 60 staff in its next growth phase, as it also eyes up expanding specialist teams.

Laura Pingree, office managing partner at Azets in Plymouth said: “It feels like a huge milestone to open our new flagship space in Plymouth, just two years after opening in the city, with fellow Azets Partner, Duncan Swift. We’ve worked hard to build our team, which is now 30 strong, as well as creating a culture that has our values at the core.

Our rapid expansion has meant that we’ve hit our growth target 18 months early, so the new office marks the beginning of the next phase of development that will see the team reach over 60 people, including graduates and school leavers, as well as further investment in senior specialist hires. The space itself is designed to reflect our forward-thinking approach to client and team requirements, whilst also looking forward to our future needs.”

The new office demonstrates Azets’ continued investment in the region and will enable the firm to have a large, collaborative office space for both staff and clients, including break-out spaces, informal working areas, and formal meeting rooms. The office is more than four times the size of the firm’s previous space in the city, to account for the firm’s growing presence in the region, The new space has accessibility, technology, sustainability, and emission reductions at the core of the design.
