Luxury Cornish holiday park is put up for sale

Park, Cornwall

A luxury holiday park in Cornwall has been put up for sale with a price tag of £5m.

The award winning site in Mawgan Porth near Newquay is being marketed by Knight Frank.

The Park is made up of 110 bedrooms across 56 self-catering holiday units, ranging from luxury lodges, cottages, park cabins and yurts.

The complex is set within grounds extending to 21.5 acres, and features both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a sauna, steam room, restaurant and bar, gardens, and dog walking area.

The venue is also known for hosting events at the specially designed yurt village and can accommodate large family gatherings and intimate weddings.

The Park has won a number of awards, including golds in the Cornwall Tourism Awards for Holiday Park of the Year and ‘Customer Service Superstars’.

Matthew Smith, partner at Hotel Agency at Knight Frank, said: “Situated within 300 metres of Mawgan Porth beach, The Park provides a superb opportunity to acquire a profitable self-catering business that is currently experiencing a strong trading performance due to high demand for domestic holidays.

“An established holiday park business that benefits from an experienced general manager and loyal team, the site provides several value-add opportunities to further grow revenue which could include additional holiday units within the grounds, subject to planning permission.”

Smith added that Cornwall attracts more than five million tourists each year and has been voted number one in the British Travel Awards for eight years in a row.
