Winners revealed at first South West Leadership Awards

The winners of the first ever leadership awards to be held in the South West have been announced at a gala dinner held in Bristol.

And one of the big winners of the night was Louise Mitchell – the woman who led the multi-million restoration of Bristol’s most prestigious concert venue The Beacon.

Louise was named Leader of the Year at the event which was sponsored by Claritas and Campaigner. Louise was also named Public & Third Sector Leader of the Year.

Our panel of judges included Peaches Golding, Bristol’s Lord Lieutenant, Alan Bailey from Future Leap, Clive Hetherington, former regional director of Lloyds Bank, and David  Lamb chairman of Nonwovenn helped pick the winners.

The judging session was hosted by Paramount Office Interiors at their offices in Bristol.

Some of the best known companies and leading brands in the region entered the awards and the winners were chosen by a rigorous and fair process.

The awards celebrate and honour the very best of businesses of all sizes and sectors across the South West.

South West editor of TheBusinessDesk.com Michael Ribbeck chaired the judging session.

He said: “We are thrilled to be holding our first ever leadership awards in the South West. TheBusinessDesk.com launched in the region just over 16 months ago and we have had a fantastic response.

“The aim is to celebrate the very best of business in the region and that is exactly what these awards do.

“I would also like to say a big thank you to our judges for their time and efforts, they helped to ensure that the very best winners were chosen in each category.

“I look forward to seeing everyone at the awards evening for what should be a fantastic celebration of the very best leaders this great region has to offer.”

TheBusinessDesk.com has now launched the Business of The Year Awards and full details can be found here.
