Bristol tech support firm set to play key role in this summer’s Olympic Games

A Bristol firm which specialises in technical support for major live events it to play a key role in this summer’s Olympic Games.
SLX, one of the UK’s leading providers of technical solutions for live events, culture and sports, has announced a raft of new client wins and ongoing partnerships.
The B Corporation certified business is also due to kick off one of its biggest ever projects as an Official Supporter of Broadcast Lighting and Rigging for the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games.
SLX will be providing its services to light up 29 outer Paris venues throughout the duration of the games.
In addition, SLX has also confirmed its reselection to The Hundred – the UK’s five-week, eight venue summer cricket series which starts on 23 July.
As well as live sporting events, SLX has expanded its state-of-the-art lighting to well-known names in the theatre, culture and entertainment sectors.
Following a successful run supplying the rig for the West End production SIX The Musical since 2018, SLX is working on the hit show for its international tour.
It is also providing technical expertise working on the Hear You Come Again UK Tour.
Long running partnerships are continuing with the Welsh National Opera and English Touring Opera for their forthcoming productions and this summer will see the SLX team work with renowned venues such as Underbelly and Grange Fest at The Stand during the 2024 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
SLX has also grown its live events offer for corporates, museums and heritage venues in recent months.
Client wins include Dick Lovett and Porsche, and the Royal Horticultural Society.
The SLX team will also be working on the upcoming B Corp Louder Than Words Event taking place in September in Oxford as part of its commitment to working with fellow B Corp businesses to bring the event together.
SLX has consistently grown since the pandemic and is on track to achieve £30m in revenue by 2030.
