Transport company collapses into administration
A Wiltshire transport company has collapsed into administration.
SL Transport UK appointed Richard Cole and Steve Kenny of KBL Advisory to oversee the winding up of the business on September 5.
The haulage firm had four sites in the West Country including in Swindon and Wootton Bassett.
SL Transport was a specialist in pallet network and general haulage, and operated a fleet of heavy vehicles including articulated lorries.
In the latest available set of unaudited accounts on Companies House, for the financial year ending December 31 2022, the business posted turnover of £1.9m but made a net loss of more than £70,000.
SL Transport turned over £1.8m and made a profit of £75,000 in the previous year.
During the reporting period, SL Transport UK employed 22 staff.
