Property group snaps up Tewkesbury site

Vistry Group has acquired a site in Tewkesbury to deliver up to 150 affordable homes in partnership with Platform Housing Group as part of a £38m project.
Outline planning consent is already in place for the homes in Fiddington Lane, near Ashchurch, and a reserved matters application will now be submitted.
Supriya Ray, managing director for Vistry Cotswolds, said: “Tewkesbury is a growing town which requires new affordable homes to help accommodate its expanding population. Our partnership with Platform Housing Group will make a significant and positive contribution towards addressing local housing need.
“This is the first 100 per cent affordable homes project to be delivered in this area under the partnerships model and we are in discussions to bring forward many more. This reflects Vistry Group’s commitment to sustained growth in housing output, while driving social value and delivering strong returns for our investors.”

Vistry is working to secure full planning consent before the end of the year, with a view to starting build early in 2025 and completing on the first of the homes by the end of 2025.
