South West Business of the Year winners revealed
The winners have been revealed for the first South West Business of the Year Awards at a glittering awards dinner in Bristol.
TheBusinessDesk.com awards recognised the region’s most exciting and thriving companies across 13 categories. The awards were supported by headline partners Michelmores and Partners&, and category sponsors Allica Bank, Campaigner and Shawbrook.
Alex Turner, joint managing director of TheBusinessDesk.com, said: “The judges discussed and debated the merits of each entry and it was a very tough job to narrow them down to create the shortlist then choose the winners for the first Business of the Year Awards in the South West.
“It was fantastic to recognise businesses from across the region who represent the very best. Employee-focused, environmentally-conscious, committed to making a difference and making an impact, all while delivering fantastic financial performances.”
The Ambassador Award went to Ed Rowberry, founder and chief executive of BBRC which has helped to deliver and leverage £60m investment addressing inequalities in its nine years. His individual award followed BBRC winning the Community Impact Award.
The second individual award went to Simon Poole of Splash Projects, who was joined on stage by his team as he was named chief executive of the year.

The awards proudly supported addiction rehabilitation centre Broadway Lodge.
