Bristol team supports energy efficiency specialist in latest acquisition
Insulation and renewable energy services provider SCIS Group has acquired home energy efficiency specialist Energy Won, in a deal supported by FRP Corporate Finance’s Bristol team.
Based in Hampshire, SCIS Group offers a range of insulation and renewable energy services to make homes more comfortable and energy efficient. With an annual turnover of over £60m, the business is a tier one partner to three of the ‘Big Six’ energy suppliers and has completed over 30,000 installations in almost 15 years of trading.
The deal will see Energy Won, which provides surveying and retrofit assessments to customers across the UK, further expand SCIS Group’s diverse range of services to include the provision of high-quality in-house surveyor services.
SCIS Group appointed FRP Corporate Finance’s Bristol-based team to support on the deal, building on a relationship developed during the business’ acquisition of Cotswold Energy in 2023.
FRP’s team, led by partner Mark Naughton and associate director Freddie James, provided full buyside support to SCIS Group. This included leading negotiations with the seller to agree a price and structure that worked for both parties, and project managing the deal through to completion.
Mark Naughton, partner at FRP Corporate Finance, said: “The home energy efficiency market is experiencing rapid growth as a result of the climate emergency and the rising cost of living, which is placing greater emphasis on both the government and individuals to invest in energy efficient solutions.
“This acquisition will bolster SCIS Group’s capabilities and services, allowing it to capitalise on these conditions and further cement its position as the region’s largest eco installer. As always, it has been a pleasure working with Nicolas and his team on this transaction.”
