New offices and urban park planned for Bristol city centre

A consultation has launched on plans for a landscaped urban park and offices in Bristol city centre.
Royal London Asset Management Property (RLAMP) has put forward plans for two office buildings, centred around an urban park, bringing forward the redevelopment of the last two plots of the Distillery business district on the currently vacant site on Temple Way next to the Gardiner Haskins warehouse.
One of the proposed office blocks will be 14 storeys high, and the other will feature cafes and retail spaces on the ground floor.
RLAMP will gather feedback from the consultation before submitting a full planning application.
David Morris, senior development director at Royal London Asset Management Property, said: “Before we submit a planning application, we want to know what the city thinks about the plans and encourage as many people as possible to help shape them.
“As well as our bricks and mortar investment, we are engaging with local communities and city-wide organisations to provide opportunities for local people to access skills, training and support.
“By working with local communities, we are also understanding what other uses would benefit the area and how new public space can be created and managed for the benefit of everyone.”
