Avon Technologies wins $18m US Army order

Avon Technologies has won a $17.6m order from the US Army for its next-generation helmet.
The Wiltshire manufacturer, which rebranded from Avon Protection last year, was awarded the Next Generation Integrated Head Protection System (NG-IHPS) helmet contract in 2021.
Its American business, Team Wendy Ceradyne, received the delivery order which will help boost production at its Ohio site.
Jos Sclater, Avon Technologies’ chief executive, said: “This delivery order adds to our strong order book and demonstrates the continued good demand from the US DoD for our world-leading head protection technology.
“We continue to focus on ramping up production in our Cleveland factory to support our DoD programs and to deliver the best possible service to our customers.”
