Rebrand for pair of top-level consultancies working with defence and aviation giants

Two South West consultancies employing some of the world’s top defence and aviation industry experts have been renamed as part of a group-wide rebrand to better reflect their market position.
TP Group and Osprey Consulting Services – both based on the Bristol and Bath Science Park – will now be known as Sagentia Defence and Sagentia Aviation respectively.
The changes are part of a wider repositioning of five UK-based science, technology, and regulatory consultancies under the single Sagentia brand.
The move represents a strategic integration of more than 300 consultants whose experience spans defence, aviation, medical, consumer, food and beverage, energy and industrial markets.
Sagentia said uniting this wide range of world-leading regulatory and technological expertise facilitate cross-market fertilisation and accelerate innovation.
As the consulting arm of Cambridge-headquartered science and technology consultancy Science Group, Sagentia supports clients in more than 100 countries and has a workforce fluent in more than 50 languages.
Sagentia Defence partners with leading defence organisations as well as defence contractors and technology providers. It consults on critical MoD programmes, collaborates with national government agencies, such as the Salisbury-headquartered Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl), along with international institutions and global prime contractors
Sagentia Aviation works with government agencies, regulatory authorities, equipment providers, and airport and spaceport operators to solve critical aviation issues.
It provides specialist technical and engineering support to safety-critical and highly regulated industry projects across both civil and military environments.
Sagentia Defence and Sagentia Aviation managing director Tom Rasmussen said both consultancy practices could now draw on a wider pool of expertise to help clients understand what the latest developments in regulation, science and technology meant for their work.
“Sagentia Defence and Sagentia Aviation each have a strong track record satisfying the stringency and rigour of their specialist sectors,” he added.
“Now, with direct access to cross-disciplinary, multi-market knowledge, we can take this to a new level and offer clients additional value.
“The timing couldn’t be better as the defence and aviation industries face increasing, rapidly evolving challenges.”
