Business of the Year Awards: Region’s fastest-growing companies to be recognised

The Fast Growth category for the 2025 Business of the Year Awards will reward outstanding growth demonstrated by a company in the region over the past 12 months, as part of a sustainable strategy.

Last year’s winner Tailfin competed against Aura Power Developments and StayCotswold.

Bristol-based Tailfin employs a team of 17, specialising in the design and production of high-performance cycling luggage & accessories.

Originally launching in 2016 via Kickstarter by Nick Broadbent (current CEO & founder) with a carbon fibre pannier rack made to fit any bike, Tailfin successfully crowdfunded over £150,000 to help bring the product to life.

Since 2016 Tailfin we have evolved from a Kickstarter company to a fully-fledged product development business and well renowned cycling brand.

Supported by headline partners accountancy group PwC, law firm Michelmores and Partners&, the awards boast a rigorous judging process, with all companies entering visited by members of the judging panel.

There are 14 categories in total, designed to recognise and celebrate the whole range of businesses in the region, from exporters and innovators to those placing sustainability at their core.

Businesses going the extra mile to make a positive impact on their local community and those with exceptional reputations as good employers will also be championed.

Shortlisted companies will then on be invited to pitch, with the winners revealed at a high-profile black-tie awards evening on 13 November at the Harbour Hotel in Bristol.

The awards are free, simple and quick to enter – click here to visit the Business of the Awards website. The deadline for entries is Friday 2 May.
