University tackles climate change with UK’s first fully sustainable artificial sports pitch
The country’s first fully recyclable artificial sports pitch has been unveiled at the University of Bath after it teamed up with a Bristol-based specialist contractor in what it called "a fantastic illustration of its profound focus on sustainability".
The all-weather rubber-free playing surface, which has been produced without latex and uses the same polymer throughout, can be fully reprocessed at the end of its life rather than going to landfill.
