Green light obtained for regeneration of ‘tired and outdated’ shopping development
Plans to revitalise a deteriorated parade of shops and housing at Filwood Broadway have been granted planning permission by Bristol City Council.
The authority said the decision marks a significant milestone in the ‘Transforming Filwood Broadway’ regeneration project.
The re-building scheme includes 18 new council homes and new commercial and community space, alongside a communal resident’s garden.
The design of the scheme, led by architects RCKa, is informed by the character and heritage of Filwood Broadway.
