Accountancy firms announce merger deal

Two chartered accountancy firms in Swindon have joined forces after agreeing a merger deal.

PPS Chartered Accountants has merged with Roger C Bloomer Chartered Accountants.

The transition has been completed allowing clients to continue receive ongoing service with as little disruption as possible. The joint business will operate from Devizes Road as PPS Chartered Accountants.

PPS Chartered Accountants has a track record of working with successful owner managed businesses spanning over 30 years since its establishment in 1992.

It is led by Paul Papworth-Smith, Ian Willoughby and Sally Holland. They share a similar ethos to Roger C Bloomer Chartered Accountants.

Roger C Bloomer Chartered Accountants has been running for over 40 years. The firm is a member of the Society of Professional Accountants and the 2020 Consulting Group.

Its owner, Roger Bloomer, was admitted as an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1981, and was made a fellow of the Institute in 1992.

Roger is also a member of the Tax and IT faculties of the Institute; and belongs to the Institute’s special interest groups on farming and rural business; valuation; charity and voluntary sector and healthcare.

He said: “The decision was a surprisingly easy one and I am delighted to be joining PPS Chartered Accountants, as not only do they have a similar philosophy to that of my firm, but this will also enable us to continue to give great support to our clients.
