Newquay crab supplier switches from sandwiches to wholesale with £33,000 loan
A Newquay crab and lobster sandwich business has pivoted to wholesale supply after securing £33,000 in Start Up Loan funding.
Got Crabs, founded by Tim and Abi Werger in 2022, used the funding to buy a larger filtration tank to keep crustaceans fresher for longer.
The couple moved to Cornwall from London after lockdown and initially sold crab sandwiches and lobster rolls from a trailer in St Merryn and via a Newquay bakery.
