Dorset software firm snapped up by global giant

An American tech giant has swooped for a Dorset firm which supplies software to the insurance industry.

Morning Data, which supplies software to the insurance industry, has been acquired by Verisk.

The firm’s software is used by brokers and managing general agents both in the UK and across the world.

Kirstin Duffield, the founder and chief executive of  the South West business, said: “For more than 30 years, Morning Data has helped the market optimise operations with innovative software solutions.

“By joining the Verisk team, we are looking forward to supporting the London and international insurance market in the next step of its digital transformation journey.”

Morning Data will become part of Verisk’s Specialty Business Solutions offer.
