Business confidence rising strongly among South West bosses, second survey shows
A second survey in as many days has shown business confidence in the South West bouncing back strongly, with firms in the region now more optimistic than those in most other parts of the UK.
According to the latest Business Barometer from Lloyds, which gauges the mood of bosses across a range of sectors on a monthly basis, confidence in the region shot up by 25 points during August to 55 per cent.
It is the first time it has outpaced the national average since June last year.
