Permanent planning consent secures future of Bath’s long-running Christmas Market
Bath Christmas Market has been granted permanent planning permission, securing the future of an event that attracts more than 440,000 visitors and contributes up to £64m to the local economy each year.
The market, which the council says is one of the leading festive markets in the UK and Europe, can now operate annually for up to 25 days across a larger footprint.
Bath & North East Somerset Council has no current plans for immediate expansion or to extend the event from its current 18-day duration.
