Developer completes transformation of vacant Taunton garage into autocentre
A vacant car garage in Taunton has been demolished and rebuilt as a modern autocentre in a redevelopment completed by property group Summerfield.
The former Volvo garage on Priory Bridge Road had stood empty for several years before Summerfield, which is based in Taunton, acquired it in 2024.
The developer agreed a pre-let with Formula One Autocentres before demolishing the site in November 2025 and beginning construction of a new 4,820 sq ft industrial facility in January 2026.
