Prime unit let to fine art gallery in Cornwall city centre

A prime unit in Truro city centre has been let to a fine art business.
Property consultants Alder King and FMX have let the prime retail unit in Truro city centre on behalf of the property investment and development company Rowe Estates.
The property on King Street has been let to DeMontfort Fine Art, the UK’s leading international publisher and distributor of original and limited-edition paintings.
The gallery is now trading as Clarendon Fine Art.
The 1,586 sq ft unit has a clear open plan retail area with a wide frontage onto the prime pitch of King Street. It was previously occupied by Curry’s/PC World.
Ian Simpson, partner at Alder King in Truro, said: “Whilst the high street remains challenging for retailers, there are encouraging signs of recovery, with increasing footfall and a corresponding demand for prime space.
“The new Clarendon Fine Art gallery is a very positive addition to the city centre.”
DeMontfort agreed a 10 year lease off a quoting rent of £65,000.
