Cornish recycling firm to expand into US

A Cornish sustainable packaging solutions firm has signed a deal which will take it into the United States for the first time.
Flexi-Hex which was launched by twin brothers Will and Sam Boex has signed a deal global packaging manufacturer, Orora Packaging Solutions.
The deal will see the Porthleven firm’s full range into marketed in North America.
Chris Bradley, Orora’s chief marketing, design & sustainability officer, said: “We are excited to bring Flexi-Hex’s patented, sustainable solutions to the North American market. Flexi-Hex is a great fibre-based alternative to plastic and foam that has extraordinary protective properties.”
Flexi-Hex co founder Sam Boex added: “Orora’s extensive distribution capabilities in North America and their focus on sustainability made them the perfect choice as a go-to-market partner. Our design teams are already collaborating on a range of custom solutions for Orora customers.”
Flexi-Hex makes sustainable packaging which was originally developed for shipping surfboards.
The patented honeycomb packaging is made of 100 per cent recycled paper, and are recyclable, and biodegrade within eight weeks.
