Law firm welcomes new partner to expanding trusts and estates team
Mike Westbrook has recently joined the trusts and estates team at the UK law firm Ashfords as a partner.
His addition will add to the growing Bristol office, bringing expertise in strategic inheritance tax and succession planning advice.
Westbrook’s experience includes advising landowners, particularly those with landed estates and rural businesses, on strategic land matters, encompassing inheritance tax issues and tax-efficient structuring related to solar leases and land sales, such as land pooling and cross-options.
He also provides counsel to entrepreneurs, families, rural businesses, and landed estates on various aspects, including wills, trusts, and pre and post-business sale estate planning, encompassing family investment companies and partnerships.
His advisory role extends to business exits, including employee ownership trusts, and inheritance tax planning related to ownership before a sale.
