Simone Parkinson

Simone Parkinson is a director in our Private Client Services (PCS) Tax team in Bristol where, over the last 25 years, she has focussed on looking after large partnerships and their Partners.

This focus has allowed Simone to work with some fantastic local businesses over the years together with having connections with a large number of Partners who are Private Clients in their own right.

Simone will say that the best part of her job is the relationships she builds with her clients.  She loves getting out and meeting them, working alongside them to find solutions to changes ranging from commercial and regulatory, to lifestyle changes. She has recently been working with clients advising them of the impact of the upcoming basis period reform on businesses and individuals alike.  This reform is one of the largest tax changes we have seen in the last 20 years impacting partnerships and self-employed individuals.

Simone leads the national Professional Practices pillar within PCS which successfully provides Partners’ tax compliance services to many law firms in the UK. A large part of that market leading team sit in Bristol and Cardiff, allowing them to have real insight into the issues facing businesses in the region.  Simone’s clients truly value the insight she is able to share with them.

Simone has been involved in supporting firms navigate their way through changes introduced by HMRC such as the fixed share member rules and changes to service companies.  She has also been involved in advising firms on mergers, international structuring, tax reserving and is a regular contributor to Ray: Partnership Taxation.
