Versarien has raised \u00a3615,000 in a share placing to fund working capital in support of its turnaround plans.<\/p>\n
The advanced materials engineering group has been struggling for more than a year and has now raised \u00a32.94m in six separate fundraises.<\/p>\n
It raised \u00a3400,000 in January, \u00a3455,000 in November, \u00a3650,000 in July, \u00a3513,000 in May, and \u00a3318,000 last March.<\/p>\n
Earlier this month Versarien revealed it had sold plant and equipment in South Korea for \u00a3604,000. Versarien’s mature businesses, AAC Cyroma and Total Carbide, continue to be marketed for sale and discussions are ongoing.<\/p>\n
The Forest of Dean company has been struggling since it revealed a \u00a33.4m loss a year ago, which saw founder and chief executive Neill Ricketts depart.<\/p>\n
