{"id":17853,"date":"2024-12-03T07:28:48","date_gmt":"2024-12-03T07:28:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/south-west\/?p=17853"},"modified":"2024-12-03T07:28:48","modified_gmt":"2024-12-03T07:28:48","slug":"development-agreement-paves-way-for-devon-homes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/south-west\/news\/17853-development-agreement-paves-way-for-devon-homes","title":{"rendered":"Development agreement paves way for Devon homes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Allison Homes South West and housing association LiveWest have entered into a development agreement to bring 70 affordable homes to Post Hill, Tiverton in Devon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This follows the launch of Allison Homes Partnerships last year, which aims to deliver\u00a0 affordable housing across the South West, building homes for customers with different housing needs across the social rented, affordable rented, and shared ownership tenures.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The new development will be made up of 70, one, two, three and four-bedroom properties, all of which will be classed as affordable, and delivered as a mixture of Shared Ownership and Social Rent for local people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Steve Fowler, managing director of Allison Homes South West, said: \u201cThe South West is currently facing a shortfall of affordable housing and so, in partnership with LiveWest, we are proud to be providing these 70 affordable homes for the local people of Tiverton.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe take pride in designing and building high-quality purpose-built homes with the customer in mind. As standard, all our homes are energy efficient meaning lower monthly bills for our customers. Indeed, the new homes will be built to a minimum Energy Performance rating of B-86.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The contract is part of LiveWest\u2019s plans to provide around 5,000 affordable homes across the South West over the next five years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Caroline Hughes, assistant director of new business at LiveWest, said \u201cWe are delighted to have partnered with Allison Homes South West to bring 70 affordable new homes to Tiverton.
