Future has agreed the \u00a340m acquisition of digital publisher SheerLuxe, which has created a large fashion and lifestyle community not reliant on Google for audience.<\/p>\n
The specialist publisher and media platform could pay another \u00a340m in earn-outs, dependent on the delivery of an “ambitious” business plan and continued double-digit EBITDA growth over the next three years and continued employment of SheerLuxe current management team.<\/p>\n
SheerLuxe “combines the authority of a trusted media brand with the authenticity and engagement of the creator economy”, said Future in a statement.<\/p>\n
Kevin Li Ying, chief executive of Future, said: “We have long admired SheerLuxe for the status and brand credibility it has established in fashion, beauty and lifestyle.<\/p>\n
“With a rare combination of strong growth characteristics and a loyal, high-value audience, SheerLuxe will be highly complementary to our portfolio and will benefit from our scale and commercial capabilities.”<\/p>\n
SheerLuxe was founded by Georgie Coleridge Cole in 2007 as a directory of online retailers, and has since evolved into a digital publisher in women’s fashion and lifestyle.<\/p>\n
It generated revenues of \u00a312.6m and delivered EBITDA of \u00a35.1m in the year to September 2025.<\/p>\n
Future was attracted by its expertise in building its own audiences. It described SheerLuxe as a “high-growth Google-Zero brand” – which means it is not reliant on search engines for traffic – with Gen-Z audiences across social, newsletters, and podcasts which drive high levels of direct audience and engagement.<\/p>\n
Its portfolio of digital brands reaches an audience of more than 6m people, including 2.3m monthly page views, 2.4m social followers, 0.9m email subscribers and 0.4m YouTube and podcast subscribers.<\/p>\n
